Getting started
What is Gamechemy?
Gamechemy is dating and friendship through games. Instead of swiping, you show interest by playing the opening move of a game. If the other person answers with a move, you’re matched, and your chat opens with the game already in progress.
Is Gamechemy free?
Yes. Gamechemy is free to download and use today, with no ads. If an optional Premium subscription becomes available later, Apple or Google will show its price before you buy.
Where can I get the app?
Gamechemy is coming to iPhone and Android. The download links will appear on our home page as soon as the store listings are live.
How old do I need to be?
You must be 18 or older to use Gamechemy.
Can I use Gamechemy to make friends?
Yes. Dating and friendship are equally part of Gamechemy, and each has its own feed. Tell the app what you’re looking for and switch whenever you like. There’s also a setting to stay discoverable in both.
Make a Move and matching
How does Make a Move work?
In the Choose tab, tap Make a move on someone you like, pick a game, and play the opening turn. Your move waits in their Moves inbox for 24 hours. If they answer with a move of their own, you’re matched. See the full walkthrough on How it works.
Which games can I use to make a move?
16 games can open a move: Chess, Tic Tac Toe, Four in a Row, Checkers, Rock Paper Scissors, Battleship, Hangman, Memory Match, Snakes & Ladders, Go, Mancala, Dots & Boxes, Gomoku, Nine Men’s Morris, Nim, Coin Toss. All 23 games are available once you’re matched.
Can I send a message with my move?
No. No text travels with a move: the move is your hello. Once they answer, you can chat as much as you like.
How many moves can I make each day?
You can send 20 moves a day, and browsing is unlimited. Answering someone else’s move doesn’t count toward the limit, and neither does a move on someone you already have a chat with.
What happens if they don’t answer?
The move expires after 24 hours. If someone passes, it’s silent: the sender isn’t told.
Is there voice or video calling?
No. Chat on Gamechemy is text only, alongside your games.
Account and troubleshooting
I’m having trouble signing in.
Make sure you’re using the same sign-in method (email, Google, or Apple) you originally created your account with. If you no longer have access to that email or account, contact us at support@gamechemy.com for help recovering your account.
A match or game isn’t loading.
Try closing and reopening the app, or check your internet connection. If the problem continues, email support@gamechemy.com with your account email and a description of what happened.
Notifications aren’t showing up.
Check that notifications are enabled for Gamechemy in your device’s system settings, and that they’re turned on in the app under Profile → Settings.
What is Wingman?
Wingman is an optional in-app companion with game tips and conversation ideas. It only starts after you allow it, and you can turn it off at any time in Profile. See our Privacy Policy for what it shares with its AI provider.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm twice. If you no longer have the app, see how to request deletion by email.
Safety and privacy
How do I block or report someone?
Open their profile or chat, tap the menu (•••), and choose Block or Report. You can also report community posts and game sessions. More on our Safety page.
Someone asked me for money. What should I do?
Don’t send it. Never share passwords or financial information, or send money to people you meet on Gamechemy. Report the person right away from the chat.
How do I make a privacy request?
Email support@gamechemy.com or use Profile → Settings → Contact us. Depending on where you live, you may be able to access, correct, delete, or export your data. We respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
